Terms of Service
Effective date: [TBD — set at launch] · GroupScout is a product of NextForge LLC.
By installing or using GroupScout, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.
What GroupScout is
GroupScout is a Chrome extension and hosted service that scans groups you've joined for posts worth answering and drafts replies in your voice. It is a drafting assistant. You review, edit, and post every reply yourself.
Human in the loop — what it does and doesn't do
- GroupScout inserts drafted text into a comment box. It does not submit it. You press Enter.
- It does not auto-post, comment, like, join groups, send messages, or add friends.
- It reads pages only inside your own browser, only while you're using it, with built-in delays and daily caps.
- It never asks for or uses your Facebook login. It works within your existing logged-in session.
Account-risk disclosure
Please read this carefully. Facebook's and other platforms' terms of service restrict automated collection of their content and automated interaction with their services.
GroupScout is designed to stay on the right side of that line. It runs only in your own browser, only while you are actively using it; it reads posts at a human pace with randomized delays and daily limits; it does not submit anything; and you personally make every post. Our servers never connect to Facebook, and we never automate a login.
Even with this design, using any automated or assistive tool with a social platform can lead that platform to warn, restrict, suspend, or ban your account. That risk is yours. You are responsible for how you use GroupScout and for following the rules of any group or platform you participate in. If keeping a particular account is critical to you, weigh that risk before using GroupScout with it.
You agree to use GroupScout honestly: no spam, no invented stories, no deceptive claims, and you disclose your affiliation when you recommend your own business. Respect each group's rules, including whether links are allowed.
Acceptable use
- Use GroupScout only with accounts and groups you're entitled to use.
- Don't use it to harass, deceive, spam, or impersonate anyone.
- Don't try to defeat its rate limits or human-in-the-loop design, or resell access to one license across unlimited browsers.
- Don't use it for anything illegal.
Subscriptions & billing
- GroupScout is sold as a monthly subscription. Plans and limits are shown on the pricing page.
- Payment is handled by Stripe. A valid card is required, including for any free trial.
- Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime via Manage billing; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Plan limits (drafts, screens, groups, browsers, profiles) are enforced by our service. Exceeding them pauses the relevant feature until the next period or an upgrade.
Your data
How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. In short: most data stays on your computer; our servers hold only your account, plan, usage counts, a hashed key, and an anonymous install ID; post text is used to draft and not retained.
No guarantees
GroupScout is provided "as is." We don't guarantee particular results, lead volume, or that any platform will permit its use. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, NextForge LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including any action a platform takes against your account.
Changes & contact
We may update these terms; we'll post changes here with a new effective date. Questions: email support.
